Ranger Bracers
At the moment I think its a little unfair that Rangers are the only class the dont get off hand items, obviously this would be stupid if they were running around with bows and shields, but I thought it would be great it if rangers got Bracers, so kinda special gauntlet type items for their off hand. This way it would still make sense to have two items even though 1 is two handed.
People may think this would be unbalancing, so the bracers would only give small benefits, or balance a good extra with a negative effect, such as less energy regen or something similar.
The kind of bonuses they could give could be similar to Bow grips, so mabey a bit more defense, or even just specialised defense, such as against a particular element or spell type. They could even have magical bracers for examle that give something like +15 energy but -1 regen. These are only ment to give slight bonuses, I suppose it mainly adds the the RP element, but I think it would make a big difference.
They are only ment to be fairly cheap items, like maximum of 1-2k for the best type, this would prevent even more complaints about not being able to have them. (They would remain cheap because they would be not that good ^^, or just very common)

Well I dont think that is that easy to implement.
Problem with rangers is that rangers have to use a bow and lack any type of one hand weapon on their own, they end up having to rely on 2nd profession for that.
This is not something that can easy be altered, personaly I feel that best way to fix the energy problems is by making ranger expecific staffs, its not full fix because they will still lack ant type of 1 hand but I cannot see how that can be done.

I dont think it will balance the game in my opinion. If they did that then they would have to weaken bows, which would not be good. I mean think about it, it is the 2 handed weapons that do more damage. The hammer for instance does much more damage than the sword, even though the bows dont have the 19-35 damage they have range which makes them better in some occasions. Lastly, I just dont think that implementing any bonus to the ranger class is neccesary at this point anyway.

What about spellcasters that use Staves? Or Warriors that use Hammers?
Giving Rangers an item on thier off hand would definately unbalance the game, especially in PvP. Also considering that Bows, Hammers and Staves tend to have a higher damage ratio than one handed items, it wouldn't make sense to have any bonuses on the items you propose.

hammers have higher damage, but attack slower, so they end up balancing out alot with the other weopons.
Bows also attack a little slow, except for short bows which have bad range. Rangers get great energy management, as it turns out; Expertise rocks, and Marksman's Wager can own too.

The idea of it was simply to give rangers at least the option of an off hand item, if only for RP effect. But I suppose I can how see the they would just end up being unbalanced.
